I'm Trying to Establish My Credit Back

I'm in debt with a discover credit card about 7-8 years already, i was in some trouble in the past, now that I am stable I would like to make payments and fix my credit. This is the only credit card I have had in my life.

How do I go about fixing this issue? Please help!

You said you have been in debt with this card for 7-8 years? Is the card still open and active? Did Discover forgive or chargeoff the debt for a certain amount? Or, are you saying you have been carrying a balance on the card for that long? If that is the case, paying down your credit card can greatly improve your debt to available credit ratio and this could improve your credit score significantly.
